That's true, Tom.  As a footnote, of interest to the many who knew Charlie:
after he moved to Indiana and became a W9 he continued with a dipole at 35
feet for the first couple of years here.  When he finally put up a 100 foot
tower and a laid down bunch of radials, not surprisingly he found there was
quite a difference.

Moral of the story: get on with whatever you can.  It's still a great band
no matter what.
