Topband: 160m Last Night

Some excellent, although spotty conditions last night.

DJ0MDR was enormous - sounding like he was local.

I heard SU9NC weakly for a short while, but there was
a big European pile-up, and he wasn't really strong
enough for a realistic chance of a QSO.

V51AS was worked by a number of NA and EU stations and
he peaked at about 579 here around his sunrise. Hope
that convinces him to stay on the band!

Z38AV was on the band for a long while and worked
quite a few NA stations. This one was marred by a
certain station in W2 land who clearly wasn't hearing
him well, clearly wasn't being heard, was calling
incessantly, and ultimately had a 'QSO' while the Z38
was in contact with a European. There will be a
certain amount of rough justice when he gets 'NIL' in
response to his QSL request!

Lots of other Europeans and XE stations as well.
