         K7CA and FT5XO are not truly
antipodal since LP is 1666 miles longer.  If
they were there would be no difference since
all bearings would be equidistant.  Most long
paths are skewed...typically <180 degrees and
 >120.  For W6 80m LP, stations with SP bearings
from 30 to 330 degrees are typically received
best before local sunrise at a fixed ~210
degrees.  Ask your neighbors K6UA, W6RJ,
W6KW and N7UA.

         The mechanism seems similar for
K7CA's QSO, but inverted due to FT5XO being
located in the Southern Hemisphere.  Instead
of being SSW at sunrise, the path is NNE at
sunset (allowing for K7CA's direction resolution).
