Topband: knowing current return in radial system

topband engineers: have a question concerning current return in a radial system .its easy for me to install an rf meter in the return ckt of the radial system but what is the basis for doing so? what is it telling me?and is there a good reason for knowing the amount of current that the meter is showing you? what do you compare it to?i may have asked the same question twice but have been wanting to ask the reflector for a long time..John K1GUN...
