Thanks to everyone for their input...
Put up a cone of silence length 301 foot BOG (Bev on ground) and
terminated it with 235 ohm (two 470s in parrallel found best ..as SWR
has minimal change across a 4:1 freq range...1.8 to almost 7 kmhz <1.3:1
 >)..
It is set up at EU about 42 degrees or so...and the transformer is made
of a BINOCULAR CORE (P/N on W8JI site)....wow....It isn't the Beverage
quality like at W3PP I used a few weeks ago...but man what a difference...
Was able to work R1MVW last night with fair ease on 160...as well as
LY3UM and a few other russians...
On 80 it works very well also, worked VK9CG and R1MVW again...

Thanks for all the help....Now I have to put other up for VK/ZL - JA-
and will run just one to SA...
Africa will take some work..but have a plan..

BY the way..since this BOG is in a PARK...HI HI...I have the feed and
termination ends under the ground!

Thanks!
