if you want to go for the "lazy" (but more expensive :-)) approach: Difona
started selling K9AY control and balun units.

There are other units from other manufacturers, but the DX-engineering one
is the only one with control unit in that price-range, a.f.a.i.k..

I bought the unit a few days ago. It generates between 3 to 20dB of
difference, depending which direction you switch.
