really knows the real answer. I thus suggest the best thing 
to do is measure the real part of the impedance (or even 
better the current in the ant for a constant input power as 
one varies the number of radials). >>

One seemingly correct correlation in one case does not prove 
a theory or measurement method as reliable.

One carefully made disagreeing measurement on the other hand 
absolutely proves it is an unreliable method.

In this case we have multiple disagreeing measurements from 
entirely different sources, so very clearly the idea we can 
measure base impedance and track efficiency is wrong.
