Topband: Split frequency working

Yo TopBanders,
      Split frequency would be ideal in many situations, but really only 
works in 2 types of activity: One where you are a desired Big Dog Gun 
(tm) and can hold a frequency while chaos whirls around you (contest) or 
you are a desired DX station with a bunch of callers who understand what 
*up* means.
     It would only take 2 "simplex" Q's at FT5XO before I had to go 
split. To do otherwise was to have a rate (Q's per hour) less than my 
speed (wpm).  And I didn't get on TopBand from there when the  
propagation was good..the Good Ops were on then..
     It's mostly all good!
