There's the problem. No matter where you move the pileup,
you can be sure it will impact other people in a very
negative way unless you use a really wide split that puts
them above 1.850.

>From my QTH 160 meters has a readable station every few
hundred Hz from 1.800 to 1.850 or higher. The other problem
is the pileup will all on its own spread out from how people
adjust frequency offset. A final problem is some people
won't hear you, and will call on top of you anyway.
