Topband: aluminum wire for antennas

Hello to All,

For Beverages I am using #18 copper clad steel. It is almost
invisible, light, very strong, does not stretch, and allows me to stake
both ends down and use 2 or 3 PVC pipe supports between for lengths up to
c900 feet.
Several friends are using the same wire for dipoles and other
larger antennas. All of us are well pleased with the results. I assume
that it is a bit more expensive than Al, but it does a superb job. Some of
my Beverages are about 9 years old.
