Topband: Contest condx.

Just working a few in the contest. Decided to take lunch in the ham room on the 29th to see if any diehards were still there. Got the transceiver  from 80 over to 160 and spun the dial. A signal turned out to be a 7 calling CQ test. Made a mad scramble to get the Amp on and change it to 160 and the 7 was gone. Tuned around more and worked KE9I-IL at 1736 HRS. and K8EA-MI at 1737 HRS.  Never expected to hear anything like that at noontime.
