Topband: Phased Vertical Arrays versus Phased Beverages

not counting radials) and has less directivity, why don't we see more
(any) of the phased arrays?  Has anyone built one?

         N7JW/K7CA have been using these for
several years (that's the photo on the front of
ON4UN's book and described on page 7-38).  The
major drawback I see to using only one is the
extremely narrow 28 degree forward beamwidth.
Signals from Europe are often skewed by that
amount here so you would need to be careful
about orienting only one.
