Remember, the verticals are all very small (compared to a wavelength) and
lossy, so one can assume there is no mutual coupling.  The tophat is just 4
wires the same length as the vertical wire sloping at 45 degrees, spaced
every 90 degrees.  Since the sloping top hat "hides" most of the vertical
wire, the "radiating" portion of the vertical is only about 7 feet.  Since
I'm
using a wooden A-frame to hold up the vertical wire, the top hat wires
also function as guys.
