Tod:

Get a 51 ohm non inductive resistor and put across the input. It should read 
50 ohms and zero reactance or
close.
Put a known capacitor or inductor value a cross the resistor. Calculate the 
reactance value
at a frequency, tune it to that frequency and the reactance reading should 
also be close.
