I have also been contemplating the NCC-1 and am very interested in other views of the NCC-1 vs. the MFJ-1025/1026. I am using two of the MFJ-1026 units - with two seperate 35Ft. verticals as noise sensing antennas.  One unit is connected in the path with my "receive-only antennas" and the other is connected in the path with my receive/transmit antennas. I use external TX/RX switching (I do not use the built in RF sensing switching). They due a good job on local "birdy noise sources."
