Yo TopBanders,
The time is growing short. A few short days until the 12th running of
The Stew Perry TopBand DX Challenge sponsored by those fun loving RF
creatures of The Boring Amateur Radio Club. This contest is a fun one. Work
people 14 out of the 24 hours and your Holiday blues will evaporate as fast
as your Holiday savings did. The rules and other cool information live on
at: http://www.jzap.com/k7rat/stew.html
The Boring Amateur Radio Club has the foresight to ask the contesters
to sponsor meaningful plaques for the other contesters to joust for. The
list below honors this idea with the Contesting Giants who have sent in
their $50 along with an acceptable idea to spur on the nocturnal endeavors.
You can sponsor a plaque also. Just fire in your idea to me within the next
few days and I'll get your eternal idea into the next notice to the masses
just before the contest commences. When you see any of these donors please
offer to buy them a liquid refreshment to celebrate their excellent judgment
in radio, cars and life in general!

Not much more to say other than get your Rx antennae propped while
the propagation readies itself for a real clash of the 160M flavor. We
especially invite Operators who have lived mostly on the VHF region to enter
into the fray. TopBanders are known for the gentlemanly demeanor and will
slow promptly if anyone should send QRS. There will be one more epistle to
the groups listing the plaque donor Stalwarts along with a few final
exhortations. Please let me know if you're plaquing for The Stew.
73 and I remain,
