QSLing debates have always interested me....... it seems simple enough.  
Respond in kind.  It used to be snail mail only.  Then bureaus came to 
be, a variation on snail mail  Now LOTW and eQSL. While SASE's are 
appreciated courtesy dictates an eventual reply.  My personal take is an 
SASE I get it out ASAP.  Sorry about the acronyms... too many years with 
the US Govt.  Huge amounts of info are shared on QRZ.com as to QSLing 
preferences.  Let the rest of you figure out how you want to do it but 
as for me, I'll QSL in kind especially on topband, since it is still the 
gentlemans band.... and gentleman go out of their way to be generous and 
helpful.  My .02
