Topband: FT-2000 for serious TB DXing?

Good Morning All:

I have been following this thread with much interest as I am on the 
verge of ordering the INRAD roofing filter for my FT-1000MP. (not MK-V)

I have two questions:
1)  Is the key click problem a function of full break-in, or is it an 
all time thing?  I have previously disregarded the discussions 
because my impression was that it only occurs during full break in 
operation, which I never work.

2)  Are the details of the NB mod the same for the MP as for the MK-V?
