A couple of weeks ago someone posted a query regarding terminating a
Beverage under or very near a power line as opposed to keeping the
termination back some distance. I don't recall seeing any responses to
this
query and wonder what distance, if any, responders had found to be
desireable in keeping power line noise out of the antenna.

It was I that posted that question. Unfortunately, as I was afraid, the
responders were split! Half said no apparent problem and half said they
experienced definite signal degradation. YMMV certainly applies. Local
conditions, as always, will affect your setup. 50' was the distance
questioned and a few respondents indicated that worked for them. Keep in
mind, my reason for asking was limited property width east and west
(360'). If shortness of beverage is not a problem, then just leave the
space to be on the safe side. This was for perpendicular to power line
beverages. Responders with experience All indicated parallel to power
line beverages suffered greatly unless a large separation was possible.
