Peter, sorry you're having such trouble. I received my 160m direct QSL via 
the qrz.com address no problem back in 2005.

I hope there's not a trend for DX stations to drop paper cards in favour of 
LOTW. Many of us still prefer a "real" QSL card collection regardless of 
LOTW.

You could try asking on the DX-QSL reflector, (where any contiuation of this 
thread should probably go).
