I've had a 238b for a couple years and it's done a good job in a  
selection of antennas (and a wide range of impedances) that I've  
presented it with. I built an external switch box with fixed 1000v  
caps to attach to the external terminals, adds 250pf to 3750pf to the  
system, in 250pf steps (I've never had to add more than 2000pf).
