Carriers of the 160M Affliction,
The starting time grows near for the 24 hour running of the 13th
edition
of The Stew Perry TopBand DX Challenge sponsored by that prescience
Boring Amateur Radio Club. The weather is awful, the economy is worse and
the holidays are stressful..but The Stew Perry TopBand DX Challenge is the
tonic that will restore you!
     Point your computer to:

http://www.jzap.com/k7rat/stew.html
<http://www.jzap.com/k7rat/stew.html>for information about the
scoring, times,
and very cool factoids that make this contest the fastest growing 160M
contest
in our particular solar system.
One of the peculiarities that make The Stew one of the better RF
battles is
that the combatants get to pick categories for plaques to be awarded. A
mere $50
gets your call on a plaque as a donor that will be awarded for whatever
glorious RF
endeavor you feel is worthy...within good taste and sensibilities.
Listed below are the Stalwart Contesters who have already sponsored
plaques
for this year's battle. You can join this illustrious group by sending an
email to me
suggesting a class then following that up with a $50 note or even Paypal to
us.
Be sure to hail these illuminaries at Dayton and Vegas or wherever you see
them
as the heros they are for what they're doing for contesting.

Bruce, WA7BNM, reminds us all that there exists a Web to Cabrillo form for
converting paper or non-Cabrillo logs to the Cabrillo format. This lives at:
http://www.b4h.net/cabforms/ There is also a downloadable program at the
Stew site mentioned at the top of this page.
Hook up the coax to your gutter or neighbor's flagpole. Turn the bandswitch
to the 160M position, leave a message on the answering machine that you're
receiving therapy and be sure to get on for The Stew Perry TopBand DX Challenge.
     See you in The Stew!
     73 and I remain,
