Topband: BA rigs on 160

Two top notch BA rigs for 160 are the Viking Ranger and the Viking Valiant.
Their keying is excellent! They both utilize vacuum tube keying via a 12AU7
keyer tube.  The keying bias is adjustable with a potentiometer on the
chassis top.

 

I used a Valiant from 1959 to 1963 and its CW note was great. It puts out
150 to 200 watts on CW, and is light years ahead of the Heath DX-100.
