I had a similar experience on 15 November. I had never heard UA0 before, but
worked RZ0AF at 11:21Z (near my sunrise) and then again at 21:41Z (near my
following sunset). Also, I worked JA for nearly an hour after my sunrise on
18 November.

This is why, when I describe ham radio to non-hams, I use the "fly fishing"
analogy. You may think you know, but you never truly know what you're going
to catch or how it's going to happen.
