Topband: How electrically tall is this tower please? (will it work on 160?) (long read)

Mike,

There was an article in the DX Magazine Jan/Feb 1994 about doing what you
want.  The Delhi is the same as the Rohn HDBX series towers I believe.  The
author (W0RJU) used 1/2 inch copper pipe for the gamma sections and attached
them at 24, 32, and 48 feet for the 40/80/160 bands respectively. He used
L-networks to match for each band.  The type of L-network he used had 2 caps
and for 160m they were 3000 and 500 pF.  Another version had two 175 pF caps
(shunt cap on antenna side of series cap). He said the electrical height of
the tower was about 90 feet (tribander on top).
