Those beeps at times are S9 out here in KH6,  seems to come from the north
north/west direction when propagation is right.  Between those and the digi
signal out of VK/Zl area the band can be totally useless from 1812 to 
1820. 
The digi takes out 1818 to 1820 almost daily here.
