Topband: inverted L fed with coax

Would like to hear of people's experiences, if any, with feeding an inverted L directly with coax.  For example, an inverted L 45 ft vertical, and maybe 95 ft horizontal.  Just wondering about the loss for about 125 ft of RG-8 and then do the tuning in the shack via a beefy tuner.  Not only is loss of concern, but peak voltages might me an issue.  Your thoughts would be appreciated.
