At my QTH VK9GMW must have been at least 10 to 20dB stronger than VK9LA
(perhaps more). They were Q5 almost continuously with an occasional fade
into the noise, whereas I think I heard VK9LA come out of the noise once
or twice in the several hours I listened on 1813 yesterday morning.
Others with better receive antennas and/or better propagation were
working VK9LA, but they were few and far between compared with VK9GMW. I
only called them once or twice. The rest of the time VK9LA was too weak
to make a QSO possible.
