wow, barry hit the nail on the head.
fwiw, (probably not much), i dont really care whether the arrl 'blesses' my qsl cards.
i dont even like qsl cards. i have received way too many from my prior dx contesting
days, and ultimately got tired of answering them. why dont we go 'green' and save a tree? at least give a postal employee a break?
eQSL and LoTW are blessings enough, if you have the need to confirm any suspicions
about iffy qso's.
if you make a qso isnt that enough?
why is it necessary to prove to anybody? does this make you a 'big cheese'?
i think each guy knows who the regulars are. and each op has an idea who has
his respect, regardless of any organizations' blessings.....
for me, making the contact is enough satisfaction. keeping track is ok, even fun. you compete with yourself, ultimately, dont you?
barry is absolutely right; its like making love; if you're not having fun, you're not doing
it right.
73 from texas, w5xz, dan
starting over on 160 from oct 08, still having fun. since '67.
