AntenneX had an article a few years ago on a tree antenna.

So did QST back in the late 50's or early 60's. Darned if I can find it
though. It was taken from a US Army Signal Corps study.

PS I reiterate my earlier comment: at HF, Trees are not worth losing sleep
over. Working the TX3 is OTOH.
