HI Jim!

Yes, 103 Countries in 28 zones - so total 160 meter multiplier for CQ WW DX
CW is 131.

Tim,

Wow!! 103 countries on Top Band in two nights? Do you really mean
zones + countries = 103?

Hello Martin:

I have been using the Icom IC7800 on the TopBand for several years.
Performance is outstanding. True second receiver and incredible
diversity
capabilities. Plenty of filtering, audio peak filtering with an
extremely
quiet RX.

I worked 103 countries with the IC7800 during the CQ WorldWide CW
contest
last weekend on the TopBand.

I'd like to understand what makes the K3 "hear" better. What they call
roofing filters are simple 9 mhz Crystal filter know as 1st IF in older
radios. DSP filtering has been around now for years and have certainly
evolved in all radios. Can anyone quote side by side experiences with
other
modern radios (like an FT-5000) where the K3 was hearing weak 160
signals
and the other radio was not.
