Obs, it looks like this reflector doesn't understand standard email

Neil,

I cannot hear it at all with an antenna connected. It is exceptionally
weak with the antenna disconnected. I do not believe anyone would ever
notice it at all except with no antenna connected.

I hear it also, but it is audible, extremely weak and only with OUT the
antenna connected.

I listened for it on mine before the radio was returned for exchange.
Never heard it, but I always had a wire on the rig.

Anyone who can hear an internal birdie well in the noise floor on 160
deserves an award, and likely has DXCC+ on that Band. In the OM Kenwood
reports three unavoidable birds but the one on 160 is omitted. Must be
too weak to matter in the scheme of things.
