Topband: Dealing with the rotor on a driven tower

It is my understanding that RF stays on the outside of the conductor.  That is 
why I was told to run the coax and any other control cables up the inside of 
the tower and from the very bottom of the tower.  I never had any rotor 
problems shunt feeding a tower.
