Topband: Measuring delay line length?

I’ve been thinking about building a 3 element triangle receive
only array for 160m I have been reading ON4UN’s book trying to get ideas on how
to go about building what I want. One thing that I’m having problems
understanding is the delay line that is switched between each antenna. I have
gone through the formulas to calculate the length of the desired delay line
but, how do I go about measuring the length of the delay line? What type of
test gear would I need? I have a AA-200 antenna analyzer but that’s it. Sorry about
my ignorance on this subject but, I have never done anything like this before. At 160m how accurate does the length of the
delay line really have to be? It seems like ¼ wave matching sections can be +-
a few feet and still work just fine. So before I waste a bunch of coax I
thought I would ask first.
