Hi All

Thanks to LEE WW2DX who worked all evening on this one - the 7O6T 160M audio is now up for your listening pleasure at VY2ZM.com.

There is a 7O6T link on the homepage and if you click on it, it will take you to the various files - there are 22 in all I think.

I would like to make a few comments if I may:

1) We were all listening on K3's at 7O6T with the AGC turned off - as a consequence, there will be some overload/distortion on some files and on some files my own sidetone will not be very loud - this is all a part of the problem of trying to do all of this all at once in a tough environment

Very LOUD signals like VE1ZZ actually blew the RX away and sound pretty awful - but it is worth hearing just how loud VE1ZZ really was over there!

2) If you listen to these files over and over (as I have now done) you will see I missed some calls.

I apologize to K5UR for blowing his call on one file - but we did work two days later

I clearly missed K9UWA when he was calling just before W2SM.

I regret missing ZS1REC when he called in the clear three times and I was listening instead to NA signals - a really bad miss IMHO!

3) You can hear many many many callsigns I did not copy - I got pieces and was listening LOW when some sigs were copiable HIGH and I was not focusing on them - oh well - you cannot get them all.

4) Check out WB9Z/NA0Y and K0LW who were right at the very edge of when the band went TRANSPARENT and all signals went hollow, with weird doppler fading making it very very tough to copy. I named this anomaly "STAR WARS PROP" because the signals sounded like they were coming from somewhere WAY OUT THERE in another GALAXY! You will hear lots of signals at times in certain segments that were just NOISE to my ears at the time - yet today in a quiet room by listening over and over I can hear things I could not hear then when I was tired and should have worked.

At the end of the day, it is what it is - and I was glad I was able to make a dent in the demand for 7O on 160M at least.

73 and ENJOY the files

And again thanks to WW2DX for putting this out there - and to UA3AB/R7LV and RL3FT for making this possible.
