A couple of rodent bites and a good rain and its all wasted and ready for
the trash or several short sections to be salvaged.
Thats exacly what happened to 750', 250' and 200' runs of RG-11 flooded to
me during Phase 1 of the Beverage system 22 years ago. It took less than a
year.
After replacing with 1/2" CATV hardline life has been good since then. It
was one of many partial reels left over when cable came to town. These days
its found during a major upgrade or for storm repairs. The contractors
rarely take leftovers to the next job as they are gypsys traveling all over
the country.
With the rapid decline of the 2 way FM radio business 1/2" and 7/8" 50 Ohm
hardline is a drug on the market and only worth scrap value. Its often free
if you remove it but 900' will require some inline adaptors
