Topband: Future propagation ?

Thanks info Dave. In the Nova coverage they were concentrating upon a 
few inch band on Iron, that coincided  with  the loss of various 
species in the Bahamas. 
They found a preserved crocodile head for example.

This dust from the Sahara is a yearly event and I have no doubt that
some of it ends up off the East Coast. 

Even with windows closed and masking tape on the seams, I'd wake up in
the middle of the night, coughing and choking, in Guinea-Bissau when the
Harmattan arrived.
