Topband: Jeep Patriot noise in receiver

Fuel Pump going...?

08 Patriot, 60,300 miles. 

Ok. You know when you turn your key to the "ACC" position right before you start the car? When I do, I hear the fuel pump kicking in, which is normal. But I've been hearing a "tick...tick...tick...tick..." noise coming from the fuel pump...Would that be the Fuel Pump on its way out...??
