I am very calm Bruce.

 

All I did was ask questions and presented some facts & results from some searches I did.

 

If you say you heard a VY0 CQing on 160m and did not write down his call nor remember it, who am I to say

what happened in your shack?

 

Yes, I have experienced spotlight propagation on all bands from 2m through 160m.  Some quite unbelievable.

Calm yourself Mike. It happened. I can see why not to post weak unusual signals. Ever heard of spotlight propagation.

The RBN Shows tons of hits for UY0ZG CQing on 1826.9/1827 around 0500z +/-

 

Just tossin’ it out there.

 

A VY0 on 160m is very rare.

Mike,

 

Did not write down his complete call, Strange propagation, no one called him. No explanation. Only posted it in case someone wanted to listen on that freq tonight. Listened many times it was very readable, and it was a Vy zero.  Did not call him. Having some transmitter prob, Q3 in the K3 is shorted. trying to get a signal out is a chore. Looking for a Temp cure..

There are no RBN Skimmer hits

nor any DX cluster spots when searched on DXscape.

nor any VY0 mentioned on the ON4KST chat page w/I the last 2 days.

There was a VY0 calling CQ on 1826.5 last evening. Looked it up as an

afterthought and its very far north in Canada. Unfortunately he did

not get any callers.
