Topband: really weird propagation

I didn't listen to him for very long. Woke up @ 1145Z (before the 12Z alarm) and 
went into the shack.  I saw him spotted listening up 2.  I gave two calls up 2 
and he came right back.  He was about 579 IIRC.  I saw lots of callers on the 
bandscope but I didn't stick around so I can't say what condx were really doing.
