Oh you're right Mike . . . when I say the noise is coming from everywhere, I
mean it's coming from multiple sources . . . but it might be that people
have a slight null in one particular direction.

And of course, some special receiving aerials (like Beverages) may pick up a
lot less noise. (sadly as I live in an ordinary City Suburban street I have
no room for a Beverage)

I do have Receiving Loop in my Loft, pointing West/East, which used to give
me about 10dB improvement in S/N in those directions (so good for NA) . . .
but sadly I have a new noise to the West of me, which means it no longer
gives me a reduction!

And to Jim - I have calibrated the S Meters on all my rigs so that they read
S9 for a 50uV signal.
