Hello Mike;

I use this preamp in the shack - at the end of the 50 ohm Heliax that feeds my RX antennas (very low loss):

I also match my 75 ohm RX antennas to 50 ohms using this:

The TS-590SG is an excellent radio

Tim, may I trouble you with one more question?

Could you recommend a low noise preamp that you would use with the VE3DO (if you would use one of course). 

My rig is a TS-590SG and has a dedicated rx ant port as you probably know…
