Being stuck in the middle between two of the largest ham populations has
got to be tough. You can't please everybody and the propagation Gods
have not been cooperative particularly on 160m. The Kings Horses ($6K
amplifiers) and Kings men ($5K transceivers) are not going to help if no
effort is put into some sort of a low noise receive antennas in late
summer at the peak of the solar cycle. You would think a 4000 mile path
would be easy. Not so.

Going back in the time of no Internet, RBN and Spotting networks, One
ringer phone calls and LSB local DX spotting groups on 1850, 100
countries confirmed was a great achievement.

Today we have a bunch of whining brats that expect and demand instant
gratification. Just remember your goals and achievements only make you
happy. Life is very short. In a year after you are gone most will never
remember you anyway.

just saying
