Topband: 160m FT8 QSO VP2VI (jon jones)

Local op AA0MZ told me he was able to work VP2VI last evening on 160M with 100 watts on FT8 ~ 0350 UTC. He loaded up a low 80 meter dipole for transmit and received on a short vertical mast. He noted VP2VI had better s/n on the mast. He had been calling for several nights before finally getting through.

The VP2VI crew did an outstanding job on the TopBand with challenging QRN both stateside and in the Caribbean. A golden opportunity for anyone needing VP2V on 160M.
