Great score Joel at ZF5T on 160 Meters!

The geomagnetic field was active during the CQ WW CW with storm conditions Friday evening. And with thunderstorm QRN Saturday evening it made for challenging conditions from the Caribbean on the Topband.

810 contacts in 75 countries is amazing in light of this.

Hi Nick,

I was the 160 meter op at ZF5T. Thanks for the Q and glad to put you in our log.

Condx from ZF Friday evening to EU were very gud but around 0330z to 0400z the band went pretty much dead to EU. There was no EU SR peak.

Saturday around 0130z we had horrible QRN from a storm somewhere in the Caribbean that made copy on 160 and 80 near impossible. It calmed down around 0300z but condx were very bad to EU and sigs weak.

To the west our furthest contact was with KH6J and one other station on Hawaii but that was it. No JA?s or anything else. We had JA?s spotted on the cluster but they were being picked up by a JA skimmer.

Overall it was a good weekend but could have been great with some better condx and no QRN during the Saturday evening session. We finished with 810 Q?s, 18 Zones, and 75 countries on 160 from ZF for the weekend.
