Topband: Diversity receiving

Hello Andy,

I had a bunch of beverages and would often use the NE Bev and the East
Bev for diversity reception using an NCC-1  and the K3 with its 2nd
receiver in diversity mode. It was fantastic so my plan was to work
towards total diversity reception by adding an 8 circle array for one
channel and all of my beverages in various directions on channel #2.
Well, life has gotten in the way and I took all of my beverages down
so I could have my woods logged. All of my Feedlines were destroyed and
I am now wondering what to do as I am past 80 years old and not as
energetic as in my younger days.  I really want to get the 160 stuff
rebuilt, but I have had some serious tower fail issues and am still
working on that.

In listening to diversity reception I was very interested to note that
the signal would bounce between my ears as signal paths peaked and
waned. I made a good recording of FT5ZM DXpedition using diversity and
it was fantastic. FT5ZM was almost on the opposite side of the world
from me, but the recordings validated the diversity plan 100%. It was so
much better that I decided to make a new RX system on 1.8 MHz  to use
diversity all of the time.  I hope to be back on 160 in the future.
