     Monmouth County is an 85 MPH wind zone but it's within 100 miles of
hurricane oceanline so you may want to consult your local building department
to see if you live in a special wind site as designated on the ASCE 7-88 wind
map.  The windspeed is also figured on a 50 year recurrence so you may want
to use higher numbers for your tower for increased reliability.

    The TIA/EIA-222-F is the tower standard that is published by the
Telecommunications Industry Association  and is called "Structural Standards
for Steel Antenna Towers and Antenna Supporting Structures".  It covers
everything from loading and stress formulations, foundations and anchors to
guy wire measurements, grounding, maintenance and inspection.  And the wind
speed ratings for all 3076 US counties.  It costs about $96.00 delivered and
is available by calling 800-854-7179.

    BTW, the earliest revision I have (Rev. D, October 1986) had 49 pages.
Rev. E had 107 and the new Rev. F has 115 pages.  This means more standards
and more compliance with resulting increased cost from the manufacturers and
increased hassle for anyone building a tower.
