      My suggestion is to skip the truss support.  I have up and have
installed a number of the 402CD, all sans trusses, and have had no problems
with any of them.  

      If you really want to use one, just put another small boom-to-mast
bracket on the outside (from the TIC) of the antenna boom with a small "mast"
just for the truss.  I'd also junk the rod truss and go with a dacron rope,
Phillystran or wire rope truss. They're much easier to install and deal with
than the rigid supports.
