<< I have sucessfully used NOALOX on a KT-34A. The stuff KLM sends (and
sells) with the KT-34 is different and works really well, but NOALOX (or
something similar) is readily available at local electrical supply houses.

I recently disassembled a Wilson System One I had installed 18 years ago and
not touched since... Being an old industrial electrician I had smeared
generous amounts of Penetrox (brand) , the black paste antioxidant sold by
electrical supply houses all over the country for Al/Al and Al/Cu
connections, on all of the joints... The surface of the beam was found to be
oxidized after being exposed to what passes for air in a GM foundry town for
those 18 years... But the surfaces inside the joints (after the rust balls
laughingly referred to as hose clamps were carefully sawed off) were bright
and shiny, and slipped apart easily.... Like Gerry I chose to stay with
Penetrox for my KT34XA instead of the metal based paste supplied with the
beam.... their paste is probably just as good, but I know what performance I
will get from Penetrox...
