Hi Guys--Jay, AF2C, pointed me to a website of vital interest to all of us.
This site explains the 1999-2000 date rollover problem that we all might
have. I tried the rollover, and my computer went from 1999 back to 1980
instead of to the year 2000 (and my motherboard is only a year and a half
old). The website has free software to correct this problem. The address is

Try it--it tells you how to test your computer. Remember, you have to reboot
the computer to activate the test. If your BIOS date is 1995 or older, your
machine will probably fail the test just like mine did.
